End 2020 there was an auction to support the club and Rik bought a voucher. As a result he got to chose a young bird of the first round from Astère Vergotte. This pigeon turned out to be a real winner with  the 1st  price on Clermont with 400 birds and a 1st on Fontenay with 303 birds. This led to Grijsje being added to the racing team of this year where she confirmed her talent with the first price on Chateauroux of 1.402 birds in the club,1st zonal of 2.630 birds and 2nd provincial of 4.726 birds.

Rik and Astère had a long lasting friendship and thanks to Astère Rik learned the game with hens. As a colleague at school they discussed the game with hens during every single break. Sadly Astère can’t enjoy this success anymore since he passed away in January.
